Getting started
World news. A conversation with its readers.
COMM-IT brings together news from public sources and lets you discuss it with other readers. Use the Android or iPhone app on your phone; on a PC or tablet, use the website with the same account.
Go to news →1. Sign in with your account
Use the same sign-in method as in the app. Where your browser allows it, the site keeps your session: returning to the homepage with a valid session takes you straight to news. Signing out or an expired session requires signing in again.
2. Choose where to read
National follows your country; World covers international news and the countries you follow; Local uses the city in Settings. Switch scope and category without switching accounts.
3. Open a story and compare sources
Select a headline to open its detail, visit the original source and see other available sources. Full articles remain on publishers’ websites: COMM-IT connects news and conversations.
4. Save and return
Use Save in a story’s detail. Activity contains Saved, your comments, notifications and your reader network. Collections help organize your saved stories. The Saved shortcut opens your archive directly; search filters titles in the selected collection. Notifications offer All and Unread filters.
5. Join the conversation
Open the discussion, write a comment or reply to a reader. Community rules and moderation apply. Open an author’s profile from their name. Drafts are kept per story on this browser for up to seven days when local storage is available. They do not sync between devices and are removed when you sign out.
Common questions
How do I resume reading and videos?
During your session use browser Back and Forward to return to the list and detail. Selecting a video starts playback after YouTube consent; switching tabs pauses it and returning resumes it if it was playing. Your browser may require an additional gesture.
How do I share a story?
Open Share link. Use system sharing when available; otherwise choose Copy link, WhatsApp, Telegram or email. Nothing is sent without your action.
Are the app and website identical?
They share accounts and data, but not every feature. The website includes news, video, discussions and activity; push notifications and some advanced features remain in the app.
Local has no stories
Check your city in Settings. The website uses the city you enter and does not detect your location automatically.
Why must I sign in again?
Use the sign-in method linked to your account. Private browsing, clearing site data or an expired session may require signing in again.
Can I use the keyboard?
Tab moves focus, Enter opens links and buttons, and Esc closes the detail. The ? button lists other shortcuts.
